Really amazing holiday! We were hosted by Ben alongside the new management team, Sophie and Will. They made the holiday so special and unique to us. For us it was the perfect combination of different activities mixed in with some rest days that allowed us to explore the country at our own leisure. Ben and Nikola led the tours and were very knowledgeable on the area and history of the country and landscape. Sophie and Will were very attentive to our needs back at Villa Miela and assisted with everything we needed. Overall an all round 10/10 holiday and have already started looking at coming back and doing another one in future!

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish! This holiday truly pushed me way outside my comfort zone—in the best possible way. The scenery in Montenegro is nothing short of breathtaking, and every day was packed with unforgettable experiences.We kayaked 7 miles across the stunning Lake Skadar, followed by a 9-mile paddleboarding tour that was as challenging as it was rewarding. The 6.5-mile hike took us over the rockiest, steepest terrain I’ve ever tackled—an achievement I’ll never forget. Exploring the bat cave and swimming in the freezing, yet refreshing, waters beneath a waterfall added even more adventure to an already epic trip.The villa was absolutely beautiful, with views that were simply out of this world. Your passion and attention to detail shine through, and you completely deserve all the 5-star reviews.A massive shout-out as well to Sophie, Will, and Nikola. We have just returned from an amazing week of adventure in Montenegro. Villa Miela is set in a beautiful and peaceful location with breathtaking views over the valley below towards Lake Skadar. The villa had all we could need and lots of lovely extras. They are able to cater for all dietary needs; we had both an allergy, and a vegan in the group.Ben and Emma were very friendly and really helpful, catering for all of the groups needs. They were incredibly knowledgeable about both the area, the wildlife and the best 'undiscovered' places to visit.We had the pleasure of visiting a local family for a delicious meal, set on a veranda overlooking the small village.My favourite day of the tour was Kayaking, seeing the nesting Pelican's and Grey Herons before heading for a picnic on a Monastery island, counting the wild tortoise's on the way to it's summit.

We had a brilliant week at Villa Miela - 2 adults and our three boys (10, 12 and 14). The group was lovely and we were lucky to coincide with Ben and Emma and their family, who shared their expertise and love of the area with us (and their cheerful approach to life!). Some of the things we loved: - kayaking on the beautiful lake, spotting pelicans and counting tortoises on the island stop-offs; - spotting lizards, toads, frogs, snakes and even a salamander; - the amazing sound of the frogs on the lake right by Virpazar; - thoughtful touches organised by Ben and Emma, like toasting marshmallows around a campfire, an Easter egg hunt and lifts to the village shop for supplies; - relaxing on the yoga deck or on the terrace at the villa and taking a quick dip in the pool; - hiking in varied environments (villages, rocky hillsides, almost tropical-like landscapes) with stunning views; - enjoying the amazing bird life, including eagles; - wild swimming in natural pools; - visiting a dramatic cave; - wine tasting with the winemaker in a local village; - enjoying a generous meal of local food after a hike to a beautiful village; - excellent ebike tour of Podgorica with Nikola (on a free day); - chatting to our lovely fellow guests, as well as Ben and Emma and family. We would definitely recommend this trip to others. April suited us well - some rain (not enough to disrupt activities) but plenty of sun and not too hot.

Absolutely great trip! Beautiful environment, and the perfect balance between adventure and comfort. The guides were very attentive and knowledgeable. I had a great day every day. So glad I found this trip!

We had the most amazing time from start to finish, such a great [kayaking] trip with beautiful landscape and warm welcoming locals. The team on the ground were super friendly helpful, accommodating and good fun. The communication was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Local beer was great too, especially after a hard day paddling! Loved it!

From first contact with Ben back in October last year, right the way to the end of our trip, communication, organisation and support was fantastic. We were a group of 11, so Ben worked out a bespoke trip for us across the Accursed Mountains from Montenegro to Albania. Our first guide Dino was a wonderful young man, dedicated to showing us his beautiful country Montenegro and Albania. He was great fun, knowledgeable and supportive. He got us down from the mountains safely when a bad storm came in (hail,wind,rain,lightening) and then put an alternative activity in place for us to enjoy. Our second guide Pav was also very knowledgeable about his country and the mountains. A special thank you for taking us to the wonderful wine estate after our trek finished, it was definitely on a par with any wine estate I have visited in other countries, especially South Africa! The Accursed mountains are some of the most stunning we have had the pleasure of hiking across the world, and would recommend to anyone wishing to go somewhere a little different to the usual European summits. Accommodation went from extremely basic to fabulous and the food was wonderful (never seen so much food!). The hospitality of the people of both countries was superb. We had a marriage proposal within our group, in the evening the restaurant we went to even managed to find champagne and presented the couple with a crocheted heart! Our group had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend trekking with Ben and his team
