Take two days to reconnect with yourself on a unique gong yoga retreat held in the heart of Lake Skadar National Park and led by gong yoga expert Natalia Dylawerska. Nourish, nurture and strengthen your body and mind with evening gong sound baths and morning hatha yoga workshops held outdoors. Enjoy and learn how to prepare delicious and healthy raw vegan food, all the while drawing energy from the incredible natural surroundings at our retreat centre Villa Miela by Virpazar.

Our goal is to support you in moving forward with confidence in this year of uncertainties, drawing strength from your peace within and the beauty of Montenegro. About Natalia Dylawerska
Hatha yoga teacher, sound healer, certified Gong Master and a MEM Gong Yoga kriya design scientist, Natalia studied sound healing and sound therapy with Tibetan singing bowls at the Peter Hess Academy (Poland/Germany). She then learned the art of Gongs from Gong Master Don Conreaux and Gong muse Mojca Malek. Natalia has also studied MEM Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance with Petra Trtnik and Tim Byford.

About our retreat chef, Myriam Bakhti
Myriam is an author, a yogi, an organic gardener, a blogger and a raw vegan chef. Her cuisine is not the common cuisine of the common chef, it encompasses extensive and deep knowledge about Mother Nature and the human body, and the relationship between the two. During the retreat she will introduce you to a gourmet raw vegan cuisine to inspire you in how to make your kitchen vibrant and delicious. She also shares free content on her social media platforms to assist you daily with recipes and tips.

About MEM Gong Yoga

MEM= Muscles, Emotions, Meridians

MEM Gong Yoga is a combination of breathing exercises, body movement, intention and sound to release old patterns and emotions that reside on our bodies. After a series of body movements that activate specific muscles and meridians we lay down for a Gong bath.

MEM Gong Yoga focuses on 39 Muscles; each one of them linked to one of the 12 main Meridians and the emotions that they hold. By bringing in breath, movement, intention, sound and affirmations, we release stuck emotions, congested energy and old patterns stored in our bodies promoting health, well-being and inner peace.

MEM Gong Yoga is a yoga practice created by Gong Grandmaster and Kundalini Yoga Teacher Don Conreaux. He was one of the first students of Yogi Bhajan being introduced to the gong. It is yoga of self-responsibility to feel and focus and decide yourself the way to adapt it due to your needs. The exercises can be adapted to sitting, lying and standing positions. It is a yoga of creativity and oneness.

Friday 11th

Arrival at Lake Skadar. Check-in from 15.00 to Villa Miela or Badanj Villa Rooms. At 17.00, join our sound healing expert, Natalia, for an outdoor gong bath on Villa Miela’s covered deck. Group dinner at 19.00 on Villa Miela’s terrace.

Saturday 12th
Today we begin our 1.5 hour gong yoga workshop at 8.30 on the deck, which is followed by a delicious brunch. At 11.30 you can join us on an optional silent hike to fully immerse in nature and bathe at a waterfall hidden deep in the forest. Late afternoon, our retreat chef Myriam Bakhti is holding a 2 hour raw food workshop, which is optional and payable direct at €15 a head. Our evening gong sound bath begins at 17.00, while group dinner is at 19.00.

Sunday 13th
Morning gong yoga and optional boat/kayak trip. Join Natalia at 8.30am on the deck for a 1.5 hour long gong yoga workshop, after which brunch will be served. Afterwards guests are free to check out or join an optional 3 hour boat ride or kayaking trip on Lake Skadar’s tranquil waters. Final check-out from your accommodation is at 16.00. Namaste!  

Price: €170pp based in a shared bedroom. €60 supplement for solo use of a bedroom.

Accommodation for our guests is spread over two beautifully renovated neighbouring farmhouses in the hill village of Zabes, close to Virpazar. Villa Miela is the retreat centre and brings together all our yoga guests to enjoy its purpose-built yoga/chill deck, panoramic views, large terrace for group meals, swimming pool, relaxing sun-loungers, fire pit and orchard gardens.

Exposed stone details and wooden ceilings and floors add to the charm, with locally produced, handmade bedspreads and bathroom soaps also handmade from olive oil. Stunning views are offered up by each bedroom and the open-plan living area.

The modern kitchen comes equipped with washing-machine and dishwasher.

Some guests will be hosted at our neighbouring guesthouse, Badanj Village House, just 500m up the road from Villa Miela, and owned by legendary local raconteur and friend, Nenad Petranović. This beautifully restored farmhouse has all the usual comforts as well as an unexpected dash of style! Those guests staying here are of course also welcome to use Villa Miela’s facilities.
